Amalgamated Platform lifts have successfully completed a APL1 Prestige cabin lift installation at the school. We had successfully completed two earlier installations with the client and were therefore a natural choice of lift supplier when it came to their new Six Form Centre Building. The architects brief was clear, we installed a new platform lift that is reliable, cost effective and has a prestigious presence within the new ‘flagship’ buildings reception. The APL1 Prestige Cabin Lift with traction drive system was specified as it needed to handle high usage rates. The lift will be used by students, teachers, parents, visitors and for transporting books to the library on the 2nd floor. The APL1’s traction drive system is very quiet making this lift perfect for places of concentration and learning as there is relatively little or no noise to distract the students.

During this recent project the Amalgamated Platform Lifts team worked closely with the clients architect to ensure the new home lift would fit perfectly into this uniquely beautiful home. Our brief was to ensure the cabin lift provided comfortable disabled access between the two ground floor levels and the first floor, enabling a wheelchair user free access around the house. The finished lift had to be relatively unnoticed and in keeping with its surroundings.
